We will go to the western part of the island with its beautiful hills and vineyards: to Marsala, very famous all over the world for its wines and liqueurs. there we will visit the historic center, the archaeological museum full of ancient and unique finds and we will finish the visit at one of the famous cellars “Florio, Donnafugata, Pellegrino”, there you can take a guided tour of the cellars, see the process and taste their wines and liqueurs. It will be a complete experience hard to forget. The Florio Cellars, built in tuff stone by Vincenzo Florio in 1832, reflect the typically Anglo-Saxon style of the time, with large pointed arches and a? Battuto? of tuff dust. The structure covers about 44,000 square meters of surface and represents the heart of the production of marsala: once the ships of the Florio Company departed from here, loaded with the precious nectar, and here still today the most famous marsala in the world is produced. The aging cellars extend over 7,400 square meters and surprise the visitor with their majesty. Here 1,400 kegs and about 600 are lined up between barrels and vats of different capacities, arranged along 104 arches of 165 meters in length (for three arches).
